Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)

Objective 2: Promote and support advocacy efforts on the management of acute malnutrition

The Forum will support the advocacy efforts of stakeholders as well as highlighting opportunities to position acute malnutrition as a major health and nutrition priority. The Forum may also develop its own advocacy briefs. Advocacy activities will be oriented towards donors, national governments, implementing agencies, and academic, training, and research institutions.This page has not been written yet. 

Activities will include:

a. Convene a stakeholder meeting to promote the long term housing/lead for the mandate managed by the CMAM Forum.

b. Represent the CMAM Forum mandate in relevant health and nutrition forums, initiatives, platforms and events for development and emergencies.

c. Link with and support advocacy initiatives, promoting a ‘common voice’ on the management of acute malnutrition as part of overall health and nutrition priorities.

d. Develop advocacy briefs on issues related to the management of acute malnutrition.
